About the Trainer

Alix Szepesi (pronounced 'sep-a-she') is an FEI Dressage Trainer. She has over 20 years of dressage experience, and has trained and competed many horses to FEI levels.

She earned her International Trainer Certificate from the International Academy for Equestrian Studies in Warendorf, Germany where she worked with various trainers including, Ingrid Klimke, Jan Bemelmens, and Hubertus Schmidt.  She also worked in a German training and sales barn with former head of the German riding school, Ralph Michael Rash as well as former German National Trainer, Holger Schmezer.  She also competed in several German dressage shows.

  • She has worked with many nationally recognized trainers
  • USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist
  • 9 time USDF Region 8 Champion including Int 1 and Int 1 freestyle
  • Numerous USDF Horse of the Year and All Breeds awards
  • 1992 – Represented the United States at the North American Young Riders Championships
  • 1982 – Member of National Champion Pony Club Games Team

Alix's unique approach has been formed through years of research and personal experience. She has a gift for connecting with horses and their riders. They respond to her almost immediately. Alix will teach you what you need to know to do the same for your horse. She has developed several customized training programs, each designed to achieve specific results. Training lessons and programs are individually tailored to meet both the rider's goals and horse's capabilities.

Alix and "Triple S High Noon" were early ambassadors for the American bred Morgan sport-horse:

           

And below is a photo of Alix, about 8 or 9 years old, with her beloved "Itsy Bitsy Mitsy".  Alix says "I see the joyful look on my face and realize how lucky I am ... all these years later ... to still feel the same way.  We went on to be part of a Pony Club Games Team that won the National Championship in 1982.  She was a real gem."
